ISLAMABAD, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's headline inflation, measured by Consumer Price Index (CPI), eased to 3.2 percent on a year-on-year basis in June, down from 3.5 percent in May, official data showed.
On a month-on-month basis, CPI inflation increased 0.2 percent in June, compared to a decrease of 0.2 percent in the previous month.
Inflation in Pakistan has shown a downward trend since peaking at a record high of 38 percent in May 2023.
The statistics showed that urban inflation in June edged down to 3 percent year-on-year, while rural inflation rose to 3.6 percent. ■
