ISLAMABAD, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan declined 2.67 billion U.S. dollars during the week ending on June 20, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.

According to the bank, its total foreign exchange reserves stood at about 9.0 billion dollars by the end of the week.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were recorded at approximately 5.3 billion dollars, up 49 million dollars.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country came in at around 14.3 billion dollars, the statement said.

Based on current levels, Pakistan's reserves provided an import cover of approximately 1.48 months.
