HONG KONG, June 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted east of the Philippine Islands at 01:58:08 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 7.97 degrees north latitude and 129.83 degrees east longitude. ■
