KABUL, June 21 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan counter-narcotics police have arrested 11 individuals on the charge of selling illegal drugs and confiscated the contraband, including heroin, said a statement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs on Saturday.
The alleged drug sellers were arrested during a series of operations in Laghman, Khost, Baghlan, Kunar and Faryab provinces, the ministry said.
In a similar drive against illicit drugs, police discovered a drug processing lab and a huge quantity of objects used in manufacturing heroin in the southern Uruzgan province a couple of days ago. ■
