LOS ANGELES, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain will play one of the most interesting group games in the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup when they meet at the Rose Bowl on Sunday.
The duel at high noon sees the recently crowned European champion and Atletico meet again after the Spanish side pulled off a 2-1 win in Paris in the group stage of the Champions League.
Atletico coach Diego Simeone should have a full squad to choose from after meeting up with the club's South American internationals in Los Angeles, while loan deals for Barcelona's Clement Lenglet and goalkeeper Juan Musso of Atalanta have been made permanent.
Paris Saint-Germain is a different beast to the side that lost to Atletico six and a half months ago. Then, Luis Enrique's side was struggling to find form, but the second half of the campaign saw a vast improvement that culminated in a 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final a fortnight ago.
Enrique has a couple of significant injury problems, with Ousmane Dembele unlikely to play with a thigh injury, while Bradley Barcola will miss the game with a knee problem, robbing the coach of some of his side's attacking pace. ■
