KABUL, June 13 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and 10 others injured in nine separate traffic accidents in eastern Afghanistan's Panjshir province during the past five days, the local media Tolonews reported on Friday.
According to the report, the accidents took place in different districts of the province, adding that police had taken the injured people, some in critical condition, to the nearby hospital.
Poor conditions on the roads, reckless driving, and lack of security measures during travel are among the causes of deadly road accidents in the war-ravaged country. ■
