NEW DELHI, June 13 (Xinhua) -- India's foreign exchange (forex) reserves increased by 5.171 billion U.S. dollars to 696.656 billion dollars during the week ended June 6, showed the weekly data released by the country's central bank, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on Friday.
In the preceding week, the country's forex reserves had declined by 1.237 billion dollars.
The RBI data also revealed that the foreign currency assets (FCAs) rose by 3.472 billion dollars to 587.687 billion dollars, and the Gold Reserves increased by 1.583 billion dollars to 85.888 billion dollars.
Besides, the special drawing rights (SDRs) rose by 102 million dollars to 18.672 billion dollars. India's reserve position at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) improved by 14 million dollars to 4.409 billion dollars. ■
