SKOPJE, June 13 (Xinhua) -- An indictment was filed against 34 individuals and three legal entities for criminal offenses related to the fire in North Macedonia's Kocani that killed 62 people, an official said on Friday.
They were accused of committing acts that caused significant danger to the life of people and to property on a large scale, in a place where a large number of people gathered, the Balkan country's Public Prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski told a press conference.
The devastating fire, which broke out on March 16 at the "Pulse" disco, also injured 211 people, 157 of whom severely.
Kocevski said that an order for an investigative procedure has been issued against 13 police officers connected to the case.
They were being investigated for allowing the use of pyrotechnics during the event. ■
