MINSK, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Inflation in Belarus rose to 7.1 percent in May year on year, the country's central bank said on Wednesday.
The annual inflation was 6.6 percent in April, and 6.1 percent in March.
On a month-over-month basis, the consumer price index increased 0.7 percent in May from the previous month, according to official data.
Regulated prices and tariffs in May increased 6.1 percent compared to last year. In April this figure was 6.2 percent, and 5.4 percent in March.
In 2024, Belarus registered inflation of 5.2 percent. ■
