KABUL, May 31 (Xinhua) -- A young man fatally stabbed his parents before taking his own life in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, local media reported on Saturday.
The tragic incident occurred late Friday on the outskirts of Police District 5, Jalalabad city, the capital of the province, TOLOnews cited Said Taib Hemad, provincial police spokesman, as saying.
The motive behind the shocking incident remains unclear, said the official, adding that police have launched an investigation to uncover the full details surrounding the event.
Earlier on Wednesday, clashes between two families claimed four lives, including a woman, and injured another in eastern Khost province. ■
