HONG KONG, May 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Kermadec Islands region, New Zealand, at 14:28:49 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 27.73 degrees south latitude and 177.91 degrees west longitude. ■
