BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday said that China hopes Germany will provide fair, transparent and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises, and called on China and EU to send a positive signal of safeguarding multilateralism and free trade, and deepening open and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Xi made the remarks during his phone call with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. ■
