JAKARTA, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto welcomed Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Jakarta on Thursday, Albanese's first overseas visit since securing a second term in Australia's federal election.
The two leaders held a meeting at the Merdeka Palace.
Prabowo expressed hope that the meeting would further enhance cooperation across various fields bilaterally, regionally, and globally.
The Australian leader highlighted the importance of economic collaboration. He expressed optimism about expanding economic ties between the two countries. ■
