HANOI, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam secured 6.74 billion U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment (FDI) disbursement in the first four months of 2025, with a year-on-year increase of 7.3 percent, according to the latest data released by the National Statistics Office.
The figure was a record high for the four-month period in five years, the office said on Tuesday.
The processing-manufacturing sector saw the largest amount at 5.5 billion dollars, accounting for 81.6 percent of the total FDI disbursed in the Southeast Asian country during the cited period. ■
