NEW DELHI, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Six children aged between 14 and 16 years drowned in a river in India's western state of Gujarat, confirmed a local cop on Thursday.
The six children, all belonging to the same family, went to swim on Wednesday evening in a local river, where water current was more than expected, leading to their death.
Among the children, four had come from state capital Ahmedabad to spend summer vacations at their maternal uncle's home in the state's Kheda district.
The bodies of all the six deceased had been recovered, added the cop. ■
