HONG KONG, April 29 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 jolted the Macquarie Island region at 14:53:37 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 54.29 degrees south latitude and 155.63 degrees east longitude. ■
