JERUSALEM, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Israeli basketball club Hapoel Jerusalem achieved an 89-80 home win over Danish champions Bakken Bears in Group E of the FIBA Basketball Champions League on Wednesday evening.

It was Jerusalem's third win out of four games in the four-team group, while the visiting team remained winless so far.

The first quarter of the game ended 24-19 for the hosts, mainly thanks to points by Khadeen Carrington.

An impressive second quarter by Zach Hankins, including three dunks and a block, allowed Jerusalem to increase the lead to 48-41 at halftime.

Skyler Bowlin and Elijah Childs inspired the Danish side to level at 64-64 before the third quarter ended 67-64 for Jerusalem to lead.

The close game continued in the fourth quarter until crucial points by Hankins and Carrington secured the home win.

Hankins contributed a team-high 22 points and 9 rebounds. Carrington scored 20 points, while Levi Randolph added 17.

Childs scored a game-high 24 points, and teammate Tony Carr added 19 points for the Danes.

Germany's Riesen Ludwigsburg leads the group, despite their first loss, 77-63, at home against Türkiye's Darussafaka, who are now at a 2-2 win-loss record.

Jerusalem will next visit Ludwigsburg, while Bakken Bears will host Darussafaka on December 13.

The top finisher after six rounds will advance directly to the round of 16, while the second and third placed sides progress to the play-in phase to contend for berths in the round of 16.
