BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Four Chinese Super League (CSL) games originally slated for next week have been put off amid reports saying that the organizers are prepared to set up a "bubble" for the fixtures.

The matches of Changchun Yatai vs Shenzhen FC, Shanghai Port vs Chengdu Rongcheng, Wuhan Yangtze River vs Cangzhou Mighty Lions and Dalian Pro vs Shanghai Shenhua have been postponed until further notice, the CSL administration said in a statement on Thursday.

The decision was made after taking into consideration "the pressure some match venues are facing in COVID-19 prevention and control," read the statement.

The decision came four days after six CSL games also involving Changchun Yatai, Dalian Pro, Shanghai Port, Chengdu Rongcheng and Wuhan Yangtze River were announced to be delayed due to COVID-19 concerns.

Repeated fixtures postponement has led to congestion on the schedule, and the CSL is reportedly ready to set up a "bubble" - a closed-loop management - to make up the backlog.

If things fail to go as planned, the CSL takes it as an alternative solution to have the delayed games played in a "bubble", Chinese sports magazine Titan reported on Thursday.
