They also studied the guiding principles of the session.
The meeting of the leading Party members group of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee was presided over by Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and secretary of its leading Party members group. Wang also delivered a speech at the meeting.
Participants stressed the importance of thoroughly studying Xi's speech, which serves as a basic guideline for the CPPCC to strengthen its Party building.
The leading Party members group of the CPPCC should align its thinking and actions with Xi's speech and the guiding principles of the session to advance the exercise of full and strict Party governance, according to the meeting.
The leading Party members group should also bolster its ability to resist corruption and fulfill its duties and responsibilities with good spirit, the meeting said. ■
