MANILA, May 8 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' total external trade in goods recorded a year-on-year decrease of 15.4 percent in March to 15.44 billion U.S. dollars, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Wednesday.

Of the total external trade in March, 60.3 percent were imported goods, while the rest were exported goods, the agency said.

The PSA data showed the trade deficit in March amounted to 3.18 billion dollars, indicating an annual decrease of 36.6 percent.

China remained the Philippines' largest supplier of imported goods and second-largest export destination.
